Who Is a Muslim? - English

This document presents Quranic verses that explain who is considered a Muslim. It highlights many verses in which the Quran describes certain prophets and their followers as Muslims.

In Islam, a Muslim is defined as someone who submits their life to God. Today, the term is commonly used to refer only to those who follow Islam and believe in the Prophet Muhammad.

However, as the following verses will demonstrate, prophets and their followers who lived and died before the advent of Islam are also described in the Quran as Muslims.
